Sustainability

Recycling one ton of aluminum avoids the emission of approximately 9 to 10 tons of CO₂ compared to producing aluminum from raw materials (bauxite).

Why is so much CO₂ avoided?
• Primary aluminum production is highly energy-intensive, especially in terms of electricity.
• Recycling requires only about 5% of the energy needed to produce new aluminum.
• In addition, it avoids the emissions associated with mining, refining, and transporting bauxite.
At DASH Industrial, we process all operational scrap from the extrusion process internally, which contributes to the sustainability of the planet.
